Veelgestelde vragen over SPMU powder brows

Is the SPMU Powderbrows treatment painful?

Most clients find the treatment to be well tolerated. A powerful numbing cream is applied prior to the treatment to minimize discomfort. You will feel a slight scratching or stinging sensation, often described as a mild irritation. Comfort varies from person to person and depends on your individual pain tolerance, menstrual cycle, or recent caffeine intake. The upper portion of the brows tends to be more sensitive than the lower portion. The PMU specialist works in short sessions with breaks in between to keep you as comfortable as possible.

How long does it take to recover after a Powderbrows treatment?

The recovery process of Powderbrows takes about 7-10 days and has several phases. Immediately after the treatment, the eyebrows are about 30-40% darker than the final result and may be slightly swollen. The eyebrows may feel a little burning for the first 24-48 hours. Around day 3-5, the skin will start to flake slightly or form crusts - this is completely normal. It is crucial NOT to remove these crusts, but to let them fall off naturally. After about 7-10 days, the skin has healed and you will see the preliminary result, but the color will continue to develop and often become slightly softer. The full final result is visible after about 4-6 weeks, when the pigment has fully stabilized.

How long do Powderbrows last and what affects their durability?

Powderbrows last on average 1-2 years, depending on various factors. Skin type is an important factor: oily skin often retains the pigment for a shorter period of time than dry skin. Lifestyle factors such as frequent sun exposure, use of retinol or AHAs on the brows, regular sauna or swimming pool visits, and intensive sports activities can shorten the lifespan. Good aftercare is essential: use the recommended aftercare products, avoid direct sunlight on the brows, and always use SPF protection. For optimal results, an annual touch-up is recommended to maintain the shape and color intensity.

What is the difference between Powderbrows and other permanent eyebrow makeup techniques?

Powderbrows are distinguished by their softly powdered, natural look and versatility. In contrast to Microblading, where fine hairs are drawn, Powderbrows create a subtle, full eyebrow without harsh lines. Microblading works better on normal to dry skin and lasts an average of 1-1.5 years, while Powderbrows are also suitable for oilier or mature skin and often last 1-2 years. Combination techniques such as Combo Brows combine both methods for a hybrid effect. The Ombré Brows technique is similar to Powderbrows but creates a more pronounced gradient effect. Powderbrows offer the most versatile and natural-looking solution and are suitable for almost all skin types due to their technique.
