What is cellulite?
Cellulite is an adhesion of subcutaneous fat. This is also visible on the outside of the skin; there are bumps and the skin becomes coarser. The bumps that appear are a bit like the peel of an orange. Cellulite is therefore also called orange peel. Most women think that cellulite only occurs with obesity, but this is not the case. No less than 9 out of 10 women are affected by cellulite, regardless of weight.

How does cellulite develop?
Cellulite is caused by, among other things, incorrect nutrition. Although overweight alone does not affect the development of cellulite, an unhealthy eating pattern will strengthen the formation of cellulite.

In addition to food, drinking also has effects on cellulite. Alcohol and coffee in particular provide the waste products responsible for cellulite. Finally, smoking and stress influence the development of cellulite. In principle, keeping your body healthy reduces the chance of cellulite.

A healthy body can in fact deal with the acids from nutrients in a proper way. The body uses minerals to combat the acids. Minerals are natural protectors against acids. The more acids that enter, the more minerals are consumed. Minerals neutralize the acids, so that they can be separated in the normal way.

If too many acids come in, then there are no more minerals left at a given moment. The mineral stocks have then made way for waste. The body gets more and more slackened by these waste materials. In the first stage of this freshening, cellulite is already being formed.

To prevent cellulite
There are many factors that influence the formation of cellulite. Due to the different factors, cellulite can never be completely prevented. There are, however, a number of things that you can do yourself to keep your body healthy and to keep cellulite away.

Drink lots of water and green tea
Water or green tea helps your body to drain the toxins that are responsible for cellulite.

Sport regularly
Fat burning reduces the risk of cellulite. Regular exercise contributes to healthy skin.

Limit your alcohol and coffee consumption
Coffee and alcohol slow the blood flow and cause dehydration. As a result, the toxins are absorbed faster by the body. To prevent cellulite, it is important to drink at least 8 glasses of water or green tea per day.

Avoid sourcing products or products with a lot of sugar as much as possible
To reduce the chance of cellulite, your diet must also be adjusted. It is important to avoid products with lots of sugar or acids as much as possible. An anti-cellulite diet mainly contains proteins, fiber and unsaturated fatty acids.

Take extra minerals (skin base from Laviesage)

The treatment of cellulite
BLOY Institute offers two treatments for cellulite; an endermology (LPG treatment) and a connective tissue treatment. The connective tissue treatment is a massage that must be combined with a healthy lifestyle, in order to create a healthier skin in the long term. The endermology treatment uses modern techniques to promote the recovery of the cells. The treatment removes fat blockades through the use of LPG technology. As a result, the endermology treatment has an effect in the short term.
