What does Laser hair removal entail?
For our laser hair removal treatment, we use the Nd:YAG laser. This specific laser light is more efficient than other traditional methods for hair reduction via laser. The popularity of this method is due to its many benefits and the fact that it works on all skin types unlike normal laser hair removal methods. Sufficient amounts of high-intensity laser pulses are delivered in a short time period (ranging from microseconds to seconds) to ensure results with minimal damage to the outer layer of the skin. Due to its relatively low absorption in melanin, Nd:YAG laser treatments can be safely and effectively used, even on darker skin tones.
How does a laser hair removal treatment work?
Fotona’s Dynamis Nd:YAG laser utilizes their exclusive FRAC3® laser delivery system. The FRAC3® pulse produces a three-dimensional fractional pattern in the epidermis and dermis. The longer wavelengths used in pulse technology target hair follicles deeper than conventional lasers, allowing for more laser light delivery to the hair follicles with each repeated pass over the area. We can customize the laser parameters to your skin type and hair growth, allowing us to work very specifically.

With this multifunctional system, we can improve the skin in many ways! This includes skin tightening, treating scars, lifting the skin above the eyes, and hair removal. Additionally, we treat conditions such as rosacea, pigment issues, and facial and leg veins with this system.
In the past, we treated some of these skin problems, but with this system, we can achieve even better results! The special thing about this system is that we can work with two complementary wavelengths, namely the 1064nm Nd:YAG laser and the 2940 nm Er:YAG. You might think a laser is just a laser, but that’s not the case! By having the ability to work with different wavelengths with this system, we can also target different layers of the skin. Some skin problems are located in multiple skin layers, which we can now address simultaneously! The combination of these two wavelengths ensures a fast, visibly beautiful, and long-lasting result.

How many treatments are needed?
You will see clear results after the first treatment, but we recommend a course of 6 to 12 treatments to achieve lasting results.
After the treatment
Immediately after the treatment you may see some mild redness on the treated area. In general, the redness disappears completely within a few hours.
