How does a Smooth eye™ treatment work?

General information about the Fotona Dynamis 4D®
With this multifunctional system, we can improve the skin in many ways! This includes skin tightening, scar treatment, lifting the skin above the eyes, and hair removal. We also treat conditions such as rosacea, pigmentation issues, and facial and leg veins with this system.
In the past, we already treated some of these skin problems, but with this system, we can achieve even better results! What makes this system special is that we can work with two complementary wavelengths, namely the 1064nm Nd:YAG laser and the 2940 nm Er:YAG laser. You might think a laser is just a laser, but that’s not the case at all! By being able to work with this system at different wavelengths, we can also target different layers of the skin. Some skin problems occur on multiple skin layers, which we can now address simultaneously! The combination of these two wavelengths results in a fast, visibly beautiful, and long-lasting outcome.

Why is the Fotona Dynamis unique?
The Fotona Dynamis is highly unique because it operates with two lasers in one system: the 1064nm Nd:YAG laser and the 2940 nm Er:YAG laser. With these two lasers, we can simultaneously work at different wavelengths and target different layers of the skin. Moreover, the Fotona laser system offers a variety of handpieces, allowing us to address various common skin problems as well as those that are less known. Each handpiece and the system itself have undergone careful consideration and extensive testing, ensuring that each treatment is completely safe. With this system, we can address all aspects of skin aging, including not only skin laxity and wrinkles but also drooping eyelids and volume loss in the lips. In summary, we are delighted to be one of the few clinics in the Netherlands equipped with this fantastic system.
How many treatments are needed?
On average, 3 to 5 treatments are needed, depending on your skin condition and depth of the lines and/or wrinkles. We always start with an extensive intake so that we can tell you in advance how many treatments we think you need.
After the treatment
Most people experience no downtime, but in some cases, there may be minimal redness or swelling after the treatment, and the skin may become somewhat dry. Improvement can be seen within a week as existing collagen is activated. The second phase of skin improvement is noticeable between 4 and 8 weeks, as it takes this long for new collagen to be produced. We advise you to maintain a good skincare routine after the treatment, including applying an eye cream twice a day.
