Sculptra

Sculptra is a different type of filler than hyaluronic acid. Sculptra stimulates the body itself to produce new collagen. The skin will improve itself over time and become plumper, firmer and more elastic. The result is a younger, fresh appearance.

What exactly is Sculptra?

Sculptra is a biodegradable polylactic acid. This lactic acid stimulates the formation of collagen in our body, which will make the skin fuller and firmer.

Will I see immediate results after treatment with Sculptra?

You will see results immediately after the treatment, but after a few days this result will temporarily decrease. The skin then starts to produce collagen itself and the final result is visible again after a few weeks and will last for a long time.

How many treatments do I need?

This depends on the indication and the objective. An individual treatment plan will be drawn up in consultation with your treating physician. Usually 3-4 treatments are needed for optimal results, including an annual touch-up treatment.

Is treatment with Sculptra painful?

The treatment can sometimes be slightly sensitive. However, you will always receive good anesthesia so that you experience as little discomfort as possible.

How long does the effect of Sculptra last?

The effect of Sculptra treatments is durable and can easily last two to three years. In the meantime, the aging process will of course continue and it may be desirable to plan an interim touch-up treatment. After two years, Sculptra has been completely replaced by the body’s own collagen.
