Radiesse filler treatment
Radiesse is also a different type of filler than hyaluronic acid. Radiesse also prompts the body itself to produce new collagen. The skin will improve itself and become fuller, firmer and more elastic. Radiesse is particularly used to restore lost support in the face.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Radiesse?
Radiesse is a durable, injectable dermal filler used for the augmentation of soft tissue, such as facial wrinkles, folds and contours. Radiesse is not a permanent filler. FDA-approved Radiesse consists of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in an aqueous gel. Radiesse is the first filler that not only provides volume replacement for wrinkles, folds and fat loss, but also stimulates the body to produce new collagen. This unique action restores fullness and contours to a youthful, healthy appearance with lasting results that last an average of a year or more. Radiesse is extremely safe, biocompatible and 100% biodegradable.
How does a Radiesse treatment work?
Depending on the area and the client, anesthesia is given beforehand. Radiesse is injected with a cannula or a thin needle. After treatment, the skin may be somewhat red and swollen. Blue spots may also appear. This will disappear quickly and is easy to camouflage with foundation or powder. The swelling will go away after two to five days at most. For this, if desired, you will receive advice from one of our doctors. Treatment with Radiesse takes approximately between 15 and 30 minutes depending on the area to be treated.
What is the advantage of Radiesse?
Radiesse gives immediate results but at the same time stimulates the production of your own collagen. This ensures long-lasting but also natural results.
Is radiesse suitable for every facial area?
No, Radiesse is mainly used in the lower ´support´ area of the face and can also be used to elevator the cheekbones. Let your treating physician advise you on the possibilities.
Can Radiesse be combined with other fillers?
Yes definitely. Usually, Radiesse is combined with hyaluronic acid-based fillers to achieve optimal results. Every face is different and therefore every treatment plan will also look different. Get advice from one of our doctors during a free consultation.
Maintaining the result
We recommend coming back 3 months after treatment to check the extent to which the gel has broken down and new collagen has been created. Gel breakdown and collagen creation should be equal after 3 months. If the breakdown of the gel is greater than the collagen production, a touch-up treatment may offer a solution.
